CARMINE Project Annual Meeting

Data di inizio: 09/03/2026
Data di chiusura: 10/04/2026

We have returned from Brașov in Romania, where, as CAAB, we took part in the annual CARMINE meeting from 9 to 11 March. CARMINE is a 48-month European project involving 32 public and private stakeholders across eight metropolitan regions in Europe, aimed at developing a knowledge framework to address adaptation and mitigation, with practical tools, products and services to improve climate resilience.

Three days of intense discussion with partners and researchers, which provided an important opportunity to share progress, visions and new perspectives on the project’s themes – themes that are proving increasingly central to our communities – and to come together, with great pleasure, with colleagues from the project’s other metropolitan regions.

Representing CAAB was Sahar Nahvi, CAAB’s Project Manager for the CARMINE project. Sahar, who led the presentation on CSA Bologna, joined all the European teams in Brașov, the central study area in Romania, where the meeting took place.

It was particularly significant to be able to present the current status of CSA Bologna’s activities to the group; this provided an opportunity to highlight the work in progress and gather valuable insights for future developments.

Special thanks go to Teodoro Georgiadis and Letizia Cremonini of the CNR, lead partners of CSA Bologna, for their invaluable contribution to the development of innovative and practical solutions to tackle the risk of heatwaves in Bologna, in order to protect the most vulnerable communities and future generations.

Thanks also to Sorin Cheval, Cristina Plescan, Laurentiu Ciuhu at the University of Bucharest, and to all the members of the group who made this meeting possible, turning it into an experience of great value.

Thanks also go to our Market Director Duccio Caccioni and General Manager Alessandro Bonfiglioli for their constant support and guidance in CAAB projects.
