The CAAB Centre comprises of the Bologna FRUIT AND VEGETABLE MARKET. Which is one of the largest in Italy and includes; refrigerated stores and warehouses, covered logistics docks; a flower market; a fish market; supporting companies and additional structures.
The CAAB Centre in figures:
– 400 million Euro of turnover on a yearly basis.
– 19 wholesalers, which are connected to CAAB.
– 5 co-operatives, incorporating 200 companies.
– 100 farms and producers, selling products directly to CAAB.
– 2000 customers, both wholesalers and retailers.
– 3 types of commodities (fruit, biological fruit and vegetables, “Bussola Verde”)
– 100.000 chemical and micro-biological analyses, carried out by CAAB’s quality-control planning department.
